Summary: Sam died. But then, the Reaper came and offered him a chance at… death. But this time with some neato weapons and an eternal enemy. For eternity, because now, as part of the Vigil, he’s immortal.
Clara died. Her boyfriend killed her, which made for a pretty awful day. And when the Reaper showed up to offer her a place in the Vigil, her day just got weird. The good news is, now she’s part of a family. The bad news is, eternal enemy. And the eternal enemy seems to be planning something…

Review: As with (almost) all the comics I’ve been reading, I borrowed these from Marcus because they’re his favorite. I can totally see why, too. It’s dark and serious, but also full of puns and good jokes. Unlike movies and shows, there’s not as much a focus on the fight sequences, but on the before and after of them. I love the little family they have and all the people within it, but I’m very heartbroken that the battle has its causalities.

Recommendation: I recommend this to fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and myths of the Reaper and/or Death.
